About

I love what I do.

I've been correcting errors in newspapers and books for as long as I can remember. Since I have a natural talent for it, I was thrilled to discover it's actually a thing you can get paid for. It's really too bad I only discovered that after I got a degree in accounting and spent 8 years in various auditing and accounting roles.

Well, better late than never, as they say. I've now spent nearly 20 years as a freelance copyeditor, helping people make great impressions by polishing their content so that it--and not typos, spelling and grammar errors, and inconsistencies--can capture the attention of the intended audience.

Shortly after I began editing, I started writing for a local newspaper. Eventually that venture morphed from freelance writing for newspapers and magazines to learning the art of resume writing. I became a Certified Professional Resume Writer in 2010 after learning how much I enjoyed crafting compelling content and working with clients to perfectly tailor their career documents for their target roles.

It wasn't long before I narrowed my editing and writing focus to the career space. There's a tremendous need across the industry for wordsmiths who can write exceptional, targeted career documents and also for eagle-eyed copyeditors who can perfect the work of writers. It's the perfect match for my talents.

I love what I do.
